About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Membership Strategy and Engagement, Yoga Alliance is seeking a Product Manager to join its dynamic team.
The Product Manager plays a critical leading role in creating the future of Yoga Alliance’s membership experience. The role contributes to how Yoga Alliance defines the organization’s digital product roadmap, oversees product development and implementation and determines product release priorities to deliver seamless and engaging experiences for internal and external audiences. They will also manage the digital product lifecycle from concept to launch, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define the product vision, and work closely with key stakeholders across functional teams to continuously improve the organization’s digital products. They will optimize the existing internal technology infrastructure, while creating a cohesive digital eco-system to meet business goals and objectives.
This entrepreneurial, high-impact role will design and develop modern, simple and engaging interactive experiences using new and emerging technologies.
What You Will Do:
- Working in close collaboration with the Director of Membership Strategy and Engagement, lead the cross-functional team to define clear product vision, roadmap, and key performance indicators aligned with the product objectives that will engage and inspire Yoga Alliance members.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and external partners that include leadership, strategic communications, information technology (IT), user experience (UX)/design, operations, agency partners, and other stakeholders to understand strategic goals and objectives in order to appropriately build and lead the creation, development, and iteration of the membership product roadmap.
- Project manage the product development lifecycle ensuring development stays on track, stakeholder engagement is high, and milestones achieved.
- Collaborate among internal Yoga Alliance teams to implement the strategic direction for improving membership offerings and digital products including optimizing feature functionality, understanding platform capabilities, and assessing how enhancements align with business needs, driving measurable growth.
- Identify and gather relevant data to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making, focusing on balancing business objectives, member needs, and technological capabilities. Analyze and segment this data effectively to enable informed decisions, foster innovation, and uncover new opportunities and capabilities.
- Drive requirements gathering and analysis for all new product features and ensures timely delivery of features by managing project timelines, dependencies, and risks.
- Develop and lead testing and quality assurance for all new feature launches.
- Initiate, build, and nurture internal and external relationships to effectively understand, interpret, and incorporate stakeholder input and feedback to develop and iterate product offerings while optimizing the product development process.
- Present product offerings to stakeholders, advocating for the member’s perspective by effectively communicating features, benefits, and value propositions to drive alignment, ensure member needs are prioritized, and generate support.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Economics, Design, or a related field or equivalent practical experience (4 years).
- 5+ years in a product manager role with experience delivering high quality, successful consumer internet/media experiences in web, iOS, and Android outputs.
- Proven track record of developing digital products from conception to implementation.

- Strategic Thinking: Knows where to look for and is able to take disparate pieces of information and effectively synthesize to produce insights and desired outcomes. Is able to map out and execute a sound plan to achieve long-term goals.
- Excellent analytical and technology skills:
- Aptitude to learn quickly to ramp up on new platforms or technology: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Customer Relationship Management platform (Salesforce); project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com).
- Ability to understand, interpret, and translate design and user experience nuances with a high standard, maintaining an empathetic approach to meet the needs and preferences of the target audience.
- Experience with design thinking and creating products within a Salesforce ecosystem.
- Experience working on products at a global scale, and understanding the data, legal, technical and regulatory nuances of supporting complex products.
- Experience in conducting user-research and applying those findings to support data-informed decision-making.
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively within a fast-paced, nimble environment among a diverse employee base that works remotely and distributed across the United States.
- Proven track record of contributing to work environments committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Proven ability to initiate and cultivate positive working relationships internally and externally across a diverse group of people at all levels and across a variety of lived experiences.
- Ability to attend in-person work-related events and functions, and work on-site in Yoga Alliance’s Arlington, VA office as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in health, wellness, yoga categories.
- Work within React, Next.JS code, and JavaScript.

Location:
Yoga Alliance is a remote-first organization, but does have an office open and accessible to all Yoga Alliance employees in Arlington, Virginia within sight of the historic northwest region of Washington, D.C.
Salary Range:
$85,000 to $100,000 annually (commensurate to experience). This position is a full-time, exempt position.
