About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Storytelling, Yoga Alliance is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join its dynamic team.
The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of the organization’s mission and vision across a variety of marketing projects and initiatives. This role focuses on project management, tactical coordination and implementation, and logistical support of marketing campaigns and activities across internal channels and with external partners and vendors.
What You Will Do:
- Support the project management of (planning, coordination, and execution) internal and external events, sponsorships, partnerships, and conferences ensuring streamlined and efficient logistics and in alignment with Yoga Alliance’s brand DNA.
- Contribute to the organization’s communications calendar by supporting the coordination of editorial and production elements for content across a variety of platforms and channels
- Support the coordination of editorial and production elements for content across a variety of marketing platforms and channels.
- Manage the organization, maintenance, and inventory of digital and physical brand and marketing assets and tools, including photography, graphics, and collateral in collaboration with agency partner.
- Manage the marketing team’s project management tool, ensuring all tasks and workflows are properly organized, tracked, and up to date.
- Act as the marketing liaison to all Yoga Alliance departments and cross-functional partners to ensure brand alignment and consistency by:
- Fielding project related inquiries
- Utilizing Yoga Alliance’s Digital Toolkit and Brand Communication Style Guide.
- Act as a connector to identify, create and manage key relationships and partnerships to advance the work of the organization by leveraging existing networks and Salesforce lead generation.
- Schedule meetings, disseminate information, take notes as needed, and other ad hoc and administrative requests to support the team.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent number of years of experience (4 years) in marketing, communications, journalism or creative-design field.
- 2+ years of full-time experience in marketing, communications, creative (i.e., branding, content, direction), and/or journalism roles.

- Strategic Thinking: Knows where to look for and is able to take disparate pieces of information and effectively synthesize to produce insights and desired outcomes. Is able to map out and execute a sound plan to achieve long-term goals.
- Strong technology skills with an aptitude to learn quickly to ramp up on new platforms or technology: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Customer Relationship Management platform (Salesforce); project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com), Social Media Management (Buffer, Hootsuite), and Design (Canva).
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively within a fast-paced, nimble environment among a diverse employee base that works remotely and distributed across the United States.
- Proven track record of contributing to work environments committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Proven ability to initiate and cultivate positive working relationships internally and externally across a diverse group of people at all levels and across a variety of lived experiences.
- Ability to travel (up to 15%) to attend in-person work-related events and functions, and work on-site in Yoga Alliance’s Arlington, VA office as needed.
- Ability to work extended hours if needed, in addition to weekends and evenings to accommodate events.
- Prior agency (i.e., branding, marketing, public relations) experience.
- Familiarity with Associated Press Stylebook standards.
- Locally based with the ability to work in-office one or two times a week.

Location:
Yoga Alliance is a remote-first organization, but does have an office that is open and accessible to all Yoga Alliance employees in Arlington, Virginia within sight of the historic northwest region of Washington, D.C.
The Marketing Coordinator position will require travel (up to 15 percent).
Salary Range:
$55,000 to $65,000 annually (commensurate to experience). This position is a full-time, exempt position.
