About the Role: 
Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, Yoga Alliance is seeking a Program Manager, Learning & Development to join its team. 

The Program Manager plays a critical role in coordinating and driving the entire lifecycle of course offerings, from conceptualization through delivery, ensuring that programs meet high standards of quality and provide an exceptional learning experience. Additionally, the Program Manager will identify, engage, and cultivate communication and relationships among stakeholders, instructors, and learners to ensure programming success and outcomes.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Program Planning & Development:
    • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders (e.g., instructional designers, subject matter experts, and instructors) to define course objectives, content, and delivery methods.
    • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for course development and delivery.
    • Ensure that educational programs align with organizational goals and meet learner needs.
  • Course Coordination & Execution:
    • Oversee the scheduling, logistics, and execution of courses, ensuring smooth delivery and high-quality outcomes.
    • Act as the central point of contact for instructors, course participants, and cross-functional teams.
    • Manage course updates, revisions, and improvements based on feedback and performance data.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of courses, using data and feedback to make recommendations for improvements.
    • Ensure all courses meet compliance standards and adhere to best practices in instructional design and delivery.
    • Implement processes to gather learner feedback and analyze course performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including instructors, department heads, and external partners.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership and other relevant stakeholders on program progress, issues, and successes.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead and manage cross-functional teams involved in course creation and delivery, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, as needed.
  • Technology & Tools Management:
    • Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS), project management software, and other digital tools to facilitate course development, tracking, and delivery.
    • Stay updated on trends and innovations in education technology and integrate appropriate tools into course offerings.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, or a related field or an equivalent number of years of experience (four years).
  • Minimum of 500 hours or four (4) years of traditional yoga studies.
  • 5+ years’ experience in course design and development, with a strong focus on program management.
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management including engaging and facilitating the success and relationships of cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing educational programs and ensuring successful course delivery.
  • Strong experiences in the following:
    • Stakeholder and cross-functional relationship management: Lead and drive effective communication to collaborate with internal and external partners. Facilitate the gathering and 
    • Program Planning & Development: Create and manage project plans, timelines, and resources. Familiarity with creating course content, defining objectives, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Course Coordination & Execution: Manage the logistics, scheduling, and delivery of educational programs. Launch and manage course execution and troubleshooting.
    • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Assess course effectiveness, analyzing feedback, and driving improvements. Apply knowledge of standards and best practices in course development.
    • Technology & Tools: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design software. Adapt to new educational technologies and trends.
    • Data Analysis & Feedback Integration: Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data from course participants and feedback channels. Ability to make data-driven decisions for course improvements.
  • Experience working within and actively contributing to workplaces committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging.  
  • Ability to attend in-person work-related events and functions, and work on-site in Yoga Alliance’s Arlington, VA office as needed.

Location:
Yoga Alliance is a remote-first organization, and has an office open and accessible to all Yoga Alliance employees in Arlington, Virginia within sight of the historic northwest region of Washington, D.C. 

Salary Range:
$75,000 to $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience). This position is a full-time, exempt position.
